ASU Mid-South has released the 2016-17 Basketball Schedule highlighted by home tournaments for each program and exciting matchups with regional rivals.
The men's basketball team opens the season with the Greyhound Tipoff Classic on November 4-5, taking on Parkland College (IL) Friday and Blue Mountain College JV (MS) Saturday. The women host the Lady Greyhound Classic on November 18-19 and take on Blue Mountain College JV Friday and St. Louis Community College (MO) Saturday.
Other highlights include double-headers with the women and men playing back-to-back games on five dates: December 1 and 3, January 26, and February 9 and 11. The December 1 matchup features a new opponent for both teams as Itawamba Community College visits from Fulton, Mississippi. Another rivalry game will take place Thursday, January 26, as Northwest Mississippi Community College visits The Dog House for the fourth consecutive season.
The most important game on the schedule for Greyhound fans to circle, however, is Saturday, February 11, as both teams host North Arkansas College in a Region 2 showdown in which playoff implications are on the line. The Greyhounds split with the Pioneers last year, each team winning at home, and the Lady Pioneers swept the Lady Greyhounds in their series.
