Greyhound Athletic Director Named Women's Assistant Region Director
ASU Mid-South Athletic Director Chris Parker has been named NJCAA Women's Assistant Region Director.
ASU Mid-South Athletic Director Chris Parker has been named NJCAA Women's Assistant Region Director. The Greyhounds compete in Region 2 which encompasses the states of Arkansas and Oklahoma. He will serve a two-year term and assist Women's Region Director Justin Cellum, the athletic director at Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Parker is in his eighth year at ASU Mid-South and his sixth year as Athletic Director after previously serving as Assistant Athletic Director. He was hired when the athletic program began in 2010 as one of three members in the inaugural year of athletics at what was then known as Mid-South Community College. Since then, he has helped the Greyhounds transition from NJCAA Division III to Division II, assisted in the move into the Glen F. Fenter Athletic Complex, and helped implement a student-athlete development program that has yielded a 97% retention rate over the last five years.
