Greyhounds Open Season with Win
Coming off the best season in school history, the 19th-ranked Greyhounds picked up where they left off and defeated NJCAA Division I Baltimore City Community College (MD) 80-67 in their season-opener in front of the home crowd at the Greyhound Tipoff Classic held at The Dog House.

Freshman Jalen Lynn led all scorers with 22 points while transfer sophomore Caleb Henry hit for 17 points while dishing out 5 assists. Kamron Rose, last year's leader in double-doubles, notched another with 13 points and 11 rebounds, Zach Byrd scored 11 points and pulled down 8 boards, and sophomore Shaheed Halk led the team with 6 assists.
The Greyhounds forced 23 turnovers and shot 11-for-24 from the three-point line with Lynn hitting 5 triples and Henry knocking down 4 treys.
The Greyhounds are currently ranked #19 in the NJCAA Preseason Poll and next play 15th-ranked Parkland College Saturday at The Dog House in the final game of the Greyhound Tipoff Classic. Tipoff is at at 2:00pm and follows the noon game featuring Baltimore City Community College vs. North Arkansas College.
