Ike Moore hit back-to-back three-pointers and a free throw, Jalen Lynn added a layup and Christian White hit a 17' jumper as ASU Mid-South took an early 11-0 lead before Jaland Mitchell's free throws broke the ice for the Rockets. SAU Tech wouldn't hit its first field goal until the 13:00 mark, and the Greyhounds would hold SAU Tech to 21 first-half points. Offensively, Jalen Lynn and Ike Moore combined for 24 points to help ASU Mid-South to a 37-21 lead at the half.
In the second half, the Greyhounds controlled the tempo from start to finish as 13 points at the 15:11 mark was the closest SAU Tech would get the rest of the way. The Greyhounds led by as much as 26 points with less than 6:30 to play, and ASU Mid-South held the Rockets to 28.3% shooting and just 15.8% (3-of-19) from the three-point line while winning the battle of the boards, 48-37.
Jalen Lynn led all scorers with 25 points while Ike Moore finished with 15 and Christian White chipped in 10 points to go with a team-high 8 rebounds. Kevin Fulton scored 9 points, and he and J.T. Smith both dished out a game-high 4 assists each.
The Greyhounds (12-5) travel to Williams Baptist University Monday in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to play their junior varsity team before returning home Thursday to take on Rhema College at 6:00pm.
