Leading by 4 points after the first quarter, the Lady Greyhounds outscored the visitors 21-10 in the second frame to lead 39-24 at the half. Then in the third quarter ASU Mid-South scored 25 points to lead 64-38 heading into the final period.
Cierra Penn led all scorers with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including 5-of-7 from three-point range, and added 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Aaliyah Lee registered another double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Meleanna Wiliams dropped in 14 points. Ashley Pegue chipped in 10 points.
ASU Mid-South (12-1) held Dyersburg State (8-5) to 27.9% shooting for the game and took a 54-40 rebounding advantage.
The Lady Greyhounds, currently ranked #15 in the latest NJCAA National Rankings, next hosts region-rival SAU Tech Thursday at The Dog House. The women tip-off at 5:30pm following by the men at 7:30pm.
