Dominating from start to finish, the Lady Greyhounds took an 81-39 victory over South Arkansas Community College to set a new program record for wins in a season.
ASU Mid-South (16-1) broke the previous record of 15 wins in a season set in 2016-17 when the Lady Greyhounds finished 15-13 and won the program's second NJCAA Region 2 title in what was the only winning season in school history before this year.
But Thursday's game followed the same pattern as many this season as the Lady Greyhounds jumped out to a 22-10 first quarter lead before allowing only 6 points in the second quarter to lead 45-16 at the half. ASU Mid-South cruised the rest of the way as they shot 50.7% from the field and held a 43-32 rebounding advantage for the game.
Keiana Delaney scored 20 points to lead the charge, and Aaliyah Lee finished with 16 ponts. Kaylan Larry went for 13 points and a team-high 3 assists, Alindavia Lockett scored 12 points to go with 4 steals, and Haven Cooper led the way on the boards with 6 rebounds.
The Lady Greyhounds next travel to UA Cossatot Saturday in Lockesburg, Arkansas, before heading to East Camden Monday for a rematch with Southern Arkansas University Tech.
