ASU Mid-South did not allow a point in the fourth quarter until the host Lady Colts hit two free throws with 1:49 remaining in the game to pull within 62-47, but those were the only two points UA Cossatot scored in the quarter as the Lady Greyhounds ran away with a 64-49 victory. The Lady Colts were held under 30% field goal shooting from both the field and the three-point line, and ASU Mid-South forced 23 turnovers for the game while committing just 13.
After trailing 28-22 at the half, UA Cossatot (4-8, 3-5) used a 25-18 third quarter to take a 47-46 lead heading into the final period.
Aaliyah Lee led the scoring effort with 14 points to go with 7 rebounds while Meleanna Williams and Keiana Delaney scored 13 points and collected 4 boards each. Cierra Penn finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists while Kaylan Larry dished out a team-high 4 assists to go with 4 rebounds.
The Lady Greyhounds (17-1, 6-1) travel to SAU Tech Monday before hosting North Arkansas College Saturday at 12:00pm at The Dog House.
