Lady Greyhounds Succumb to Delta

The Lady Greyhounds shot just 25.0% from the field and 48.3% from the free throw line to fall 57-47 at Mississippi Delta Community College Friday in Moorhead, Mississippi.

Despite dominating the boards 46-27, the Lady Greyhounds also hurt their chances by committing 23 turnovers. Meanwhile, Mississippi Delta hit 18-of-28 free throws for 64.3%.

Meleanna Williams led ASU Mid-South with 12 points while Aaliyah Lee scored 10 points and pulled down a game-high 9 rebounds. Keiana Delaney scored 9 points to go with 8 boards and 3 assists while no other Lady Greyhound managed more than 6 points.

Next up is a trip to Northeast Mississippi Community College Monday before the Lady Greyhounds (1-1) return home to host the Lady Greyhound Classic November 12-13. Games will be Friday at 5:00pm and 7:00pm and Saturday at 12:00pm and 2:00pm with the Lady Greyhounds playing the late game both days.
