Lady Greyhounds Use Big Fourth Quarter to Down Dyersburg
Leading by just two points entering the fourth quarter, the Lady Greyhounds scored 20 points in the final frame in taking a 63-54 victory over the visiting Dyersburg State Community College Lady Eagles Saturday in The Dog House.

The Lady Greyhounds led 32-28 at the half as the Lady Eagles cut that to 43-41 entering the final quarter of play before taking a 48-47 lead shortly into the period. But ASU Mid-South kept going inside to Aaliyah Lee who scored 8 of her 14 points in quarter which then opened things up Meleanna Williams and Keiana Delaney who combined for 12 points in the final frame.
Dyersburg State (5-6) was held to just 35.0% shooting for the game and 20.0% from beyond the arc, but it was the Lady Greyhounds 73.9% shooting from the line that helped stretch the lead in the fourth quarter when the Lady Eagles began to foul.
Meleanna Williams led all scorers with 18 points to go with 6 rebounds and a game-high 4 steals. Aaliyah Lee scored 14 points and pulled down a team-high 8 boards, Keiana Delaney scored 11 points with 6 rebounds and 4 assists, and Arrianna Faulks chipped in 10 points.
The Lady Greyhounds (7-6) head to Jones College in Ellisville, Mississippi, on Tuesday in their final game of 2021. ASU Mid-South is ranked #13 in the NJCAA Division II National Poll while Jones is ranked #3 in the NJCAA Division I National Rankings.
