Leading 33-24 at the half, ASU Mid-South outscored the visitors 50-23 in the second frame. Playing with just five players, the Lady Stars finished the game with just three players after two fouled out in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Despite the personnel issues, South Arkansas shot 40.5% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point line. But the Lady Greyhounds forced 24 turnovers and took an 18-3 advantage on the offensive glass to secure the victory.
Kya Washington led ASU Mid-South with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting while Kayla Griffin scored 14 points and Aryah Hazley dropped in 12 ponts to go with a game-high 5 steals. Quintasia Leatherwood chipped in 8 points and dished out a game-high 10 assists.
The Lady Greyhounds (14-7, 4-2) travel to #16 ranked Southern Arkansas University Tech (15-2, 6-0) Thursday before returning to The Dog House Saturday to host UA Cossatot (14-11, 2-4).
