Turnovers Hurt Lady Greyhounds
It was the first night of the Lady Greyhound Tip-Off Classic in which ASU Mid-South would host Connors State, Mississippi Delta, and National Park College to a two day event. On night one, the Lady Greyhounds would host Connors State in what would be ASU Mid-South's home opener.

Connors State would quickly jump out on the host Greyhounds and never look back. The Cowgirls would turn the Lady Greyhounds over 41 times throughout the game, scoring 37 points off of those turnovers which would play a big factor in the outcome of the night. Defense was a big factor for the Cowgirls against the Lady Greyhounds as the host would only shoot 28.8% from the field and only 17.6% from behind the arc. The Lady Greyhounds continue to stay in attack mode all night shooting 33 free throws. Unfortunately, the Lady Greyhounds did not help themselves out only converting 14.
A bright spot for the Lady Greyhounds was West Memphis native, Lula-jae Tranfaglia. The freshman would notch her first double double of the season scoring 10 points and grabbing an impressive 17 rebounds throughout the game with 5 of those coming off the offensive side. Joining Tranfaglia was sophomore London Robinson, who also notched her first double double of the season scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, 4 offensively. Freshman Zarriah Adams would also score in double figures adding 12 points.
The Lady Greyhounds drop to 0-2 on the young season. They will host Mississippi Delta tomorrow, November 9th for the finale of the Lady Greyhound Tip-Off Classic. Tip-Off is set for 2:00.
