Game 1:

Arkansas State Mid-South Come Back To Defeat Highland Cougars

Despite trailing by as many as four runs, Arkansas State Mid-South rallied to defeat Highland Cougars 6-5 on Saturday.

Arkansas State Mid-South didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the sixth when Kaleb Tejada singled, scoring one run.

A sacrifice fly by Luis Quintero put Highland Cougars on the board in the top of the first.

Eli Dale doubled to center field, which helped Arkansas State Mid-South tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

A single by Ezekiel Alcala gave Highland Cougars the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second.

Matthew Dutton singled to center field, which helped Arkansas State Mid-South tie the game at five in the bottom of the fifth.

Brock McNeill started on the bump for Arkansas State Mid-South. The starter surrendered five hits and five runs (four earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking five. Christopher Suarez led things off on the bump for Highland Cougars. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and five runs over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Kayden Perrilloux pitched one and two-thirds innings of zero-run ball for Arkansas State Mid-South in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking one.

Arkansas State Mid-South piled up 10 hits in the game. James Chicorelli led Arkansas State Mid-South with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The center fielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Ethan Hirons and Chicorelli each collected two hits for Arkansas State Mid-South.

Darrian Yarborough Drives 4 Runners Home In Arkansas State Mid-South Victory Over Highland Cougars

Darrian Yarborough drove in four runs on three hits to lead Arkansas State Mid-South past Highland Cougars 9-0 on Saturday. Yarborough singled in the fifth scoring two, singled in the third scoring one, and singled in the sixth scoring one.

Arkansas State Mid-South were the first to get on the board in the second when James Chicorelli drew a walk, scoring one run.

Arkansas State Mid-South added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Drew Busby doubled, Yarborough singled to the left side of the infield, and Cohen Jorgensen doubled, each scoring one run.

Bronson McNeill earned the win for Arkansas State Mid-South. The lefty surrendered four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking two. Steven Trinidad took the loss for Highland Cougars. The starter went two innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out none and walking four.

Arkansas State Mid-South piled up 10 hits in the game. Busby collected two hits for Arkansas State Mid-South in four at bats. Arkansas State Mid-South turned two double plays in the game.

Luis Quintero, Junior Valdez, Feliz, and Oscar Soto each collected one hit for Highland Cougars. Highland Cougars turned one double play in the game.
