Game 1:
Strong Hitting Not Enough As Arkansas State Mid-South Falls To ASUMH
Arkansas State Mid-South fell 4-3 to ASUMH on Thursday despite out-hitting them eight to six. Drew Busby, James Chicorelli, and Eli Dale each collected two hits for Arkansas State Mid-South.
Arkansas State Mid-South was right in it until ASUMH doubled in the seventh inning.
ASUMH got on the board in the first inning after Reece Bariola singled, scoring two runs.
Arkansas State Mid-South tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to an error, and a single by Chicorelli.
ASUMH took the lead in the top of the fifth. Gabe Flores hit into a double play, but one run scored, to give ASUMH the lead, 3-2.
Dale singled to center field, which helped Arkansas State Mid-South tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth.
Nicholas Patterson earned the win for ASUMH. The starter surrendered eight hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Kaleb Tejada took the loss for Arkansas State Mid-South. The right-handed pitcher went seven innings, surrendering four runs on six hits, striking out five and walking three.
Chicorelli and Dale were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Arkansas State Mid-South. Arkansas State Mid-South turned two double plays in the game.

Darrian Yarborough doubled to center field, which helped Arkansas State Mid-South tie the game at two in the bottom of the first.
A walk by Matthew Dutton gave Arkansas State Mid-South the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the second.
ASUMH jumped back into the lead in the top of the third inning after Spencer Mounce singled to center field, and Reece Bariola doubled to center field, each scoring one run.
Arkansas State Mid-South made the score 7-4 in the bottom of the third after Eli Dale doubled, scoring one run, Ethan Hirons doubled, scoring two runs, and Parker Andel drew a walk, scoring one run.
Dale hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fourth for the Arkansas State Mid-South.
ASUMH flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring 11 runs on eight hits to take the lead, 18-9. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Tucker Christan that drove in two.
