In their inaugural season, the ASU Mid-South Lady Greyhounds are building a family rooted in accountability, trust, and a relentless commitment to each other on and off the field as they establish the foundation of a brand-new program. The Lady Greyhounds will open the season Friday, February 6, 2026, against Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead, MS. They will enter 2026 with a roster full of hungry student-athletes, guided by Head Coach Gary Cordell and Assistant Coaches Jules Phillips and Chadwick Lucas, eager to compete, learn, and establish the identity of the program.
ROSTER & POSITIONS
PITCHING: The Lady Greyhounds will rely on a three-arm staff in their first season. Ella Hyde (Carbon Hill, AL), Audum Neblett (Troy, TN), and Allie Reed (Avon, MS) will anchor the pitching rotation. As a young group, the staff brings versatility and toughness, with each pitcher capable of contributing in both starting and relief roles as the season progresses.
CATCHING: Behind the plate, Addie Williams (Tunica, MS) and Alden Collins (Murray, KY) will handle catching duties. Both bring strong defensive instincts and leadership qualities that will be vital in guiding a young pitching staff through the program's inaugural campaign.
FIRST BASE: The Lady Greyhounds will feature a rotation of players, with Addison Byrd (Forest, MS) projected to start, while Ella Hyde and Audum Neblett will rotate in when not pitching.
SECOND BASE: Handling the task at second base is Lariah Gipson (Little Rock, AR).
THIRD BASE/SHORTSTOP:The left side of the infield is solidified, as Chloe Adkisson (Alamo, TN) and Taylor Stone (Mulberry, IL) have locked in the shortstop and third base positions, providing stability and defensive consistency.
OUTFIELD: In the outfield, Haley Worsham (Senatobia, MS) will patrol center field, while Alden Collins is set to start in right field. Kendel Thompson (Starkville, MS) will anchor left field duties.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
Addie Williams (Tunica, MS) and Haley Worsham (Senatobia, MS) have emerged as team leaders, setting the standard through their work ethic, communication, and commitment to team culture.As a first-year program, the Lady Greyhounds will rely on leadership by example, with Williams, and Worsham helping guide a young roster built on trust, accountability, and a family-first mindset.
TEAM OUTLOOK
With every player learning the college game together, the Lady Greyhounds enter 2026 hungry, united, and eager to compete. While youth defines this roster; effort, coachability, and chemistry will shape the identity of a program focused on growth, resilience, and building something that lasts.
