Despite 42 combined points from Sherrelle McGowan and Lacordia Williams, the Lady Greyhounds fell to Northeast Mississippi 109-75 in Booneville, Mississippi.
MSCC shot a solid 49% from the field and 66% from the free throw line, but 41 turnovers doomed the Lady Greyhounds as Northeast capitalized by shooting 54% from the field and hitting six three-pointers.
McGowan finished with 22 points, including 10 for 10 from the free throw line, and seven rebounds, and Williams scored 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting in the losing effort. MSCC's star sophomore, Kierra Adams, did not play due to injury.
The Lady Greyhounds next host St. Louis Community College at The Dog House this Saturday, November 15, with tipoff scheduled for 2:00pm.
