Firing on all cylinders right out of the gate, ASU Mid-South did the job with defense as they limited the Lady Generals to 30.3% shooting for the night while forcing 21 turnovers. The Lady Greyhounds shot 40% from the field, 34.8% from the three-point line and 75.9% from the free throw line to keep the visitors at bay the rest of the way.
Raven Morrow led the charge with a career high 30 points on 10-of-17 shooting while Summer Abram and Ja'Brisha Hawkins scored 12 points each as Hawkins dished out eight assists, and Alesha Penister and Samantha jackson scored 11 each to go with Jackson's game-high 14 rebounds. Freshman Haley Morgan also chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.
Thursday's victory marks the most wins in a single season in ASU Mid-South women's basketball history as the Lady Greyhounds are now 10-10 on the season. In the program's seventh season of competition, the win eclipses the previous record of nine wins achieved in last year's 2015-16 season.
Next up is a trip to Blue Mountain College on Monday as the Lady Greyhounds play at 6:00pm followed by the men at 8:00pm.
