Former Lady Greyhound Samantha Jackson is moving on after two years at ASU Mid-South and has signed with Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Former Lady Greyhound Samantha Jackson is moving on after two years at ASU Mid-South and has signed with Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Jackson helped ASU Mid-South to the 2016-17 NJCAA Region 2 Championship as a sophomore and was named to the All-Region First Team after averaging 12.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 steals, 1.4 assists, and shooting 41% from the field and 66% from the free throw line. The Lady Greyhounds had their first-ever winning season and won a school-record 15 games before falling in the NJCAA District P Championship Game.
As a freshman, the Joiner, Arkansas, native led the Lady Greyhounds in scoring, rebounding and steals by averaging 15.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.
Bacone competes in the NAIA and is a member of the Sooner Athletic Conference, one of the most highly respected conferences in the country consisting of 12 member institutions in four states.
