After a high-scoring first quarter saw them trail by six points, the Lady Greyhounds held the Lady Rangers to only 11 second-quarter points to take a 43-38 lead into halftime. But Northwest Mississippi stormed back with 25 points in the third quarter to set up the dramatic finish in the final period.
Alesha Penister led the Lady Greyhounds with 26 points while Teiangula Boston finished with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Summer Abram hit for 11 points while Sable Greer chipped in 10 points to go with a game-high four steals.
ASU Mid-South next travels to Arkansas Baptist Monday in the first of two matchups before a second matchup with NJCAA Region 2 foe North Arkansas College on February 10 in Harrison.
