A short-handed ASU Mid-South team just wasn't able to keep up with the hot hand of the home team, dropping a 101-67 decision Monday at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia.
The Lady Greyhounds were down 22-9 at the end of the first quarter before scoring 19 points in the second frame to trail 47-28 at the half. But the Lady Rangers got hot and exploded for 28 third-quarter points to put the game away.
Tatyana Burks scored a game-high 33 points for ASU Mid-South while Haley Morgan scored 14 and Nariah Matthews hit for 12. Briana Stewart led the team with 10 rebounds and she and Tori Foster dished out 5 assists each.
The Lady Greyhounds hit the road for their final game before Thanksgiving, traveling to Chattanooga State Community College on Tuesday before returning to The Dog House the following Monday to take on Crowley's Ridge JV at 5:00pm in the first game of a doubleheader with the men.
