The teams were tied at the half, 30-30, before ASU Mid-South took a 45-43 lead into the fourth quarter, but North Arkansas held the Lady Greyhounds to eight fourth-quarter points for the victory.
Ashley Pegue led the way with 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Adrianne Chambers scored 15 points and also pulled down 7 boards. Cierra Penn scored 14 points, collected 6 rebounds and dished out a team-high 5 assists, while Alindavia Lockett came off the bench to score 7 and pull down a team-high 12 rebounds. The Lady Greyhounds shot just 32.2% from the field and were only 5-of-12 from the free throw line.
Taking the fourth seed into the Region 2 Basketball Tournament, ASU Mid-South will face #1 North Arkansas again in the semifinals on Sunday, March 1, at 1:00pm at Harding University's Rhodes Field House in Searcy, Arkansas. The winner will advance to Tuesday's Championship Game against the winner of #2 National Park and #3 SAU Tech. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, and ASU Mid-South will be live-streaming the game on the ASU Mid-South channel of NJCAATV.com.
