Lady Greyhounds Nationally Ranked for First Time in School History
For the first time in the history of ASU Mid-South Women's Basketball, the Lady Greyhounds are ranked in the Top 20 National Basketball Poll.
For the first time in the history of ASU Mid-South Women's Basketball, the Lady Greyhounds are ranked in the Top 20 National Basketball Poll. After receiving votes in last week's poll, another first, the Lady Greyhounds reeled off wins over Williams Baptist University JV (AR), John Wood Community College (IL), and Triton College (IL). The wins impressed the committee enough to rank ASU Mid-South at #16 in the Week 2 national poll. The only other NJCAA Region 2 team mentioned in this week's poll is North Arkansas College, last year's Region 2 Champions, who are receiving votes.
The #16 Lady Greyhounds (5-0) travel to Dyersburg State Community College (TN) tonight before hosting Northeast Mississippi Community College Saturday at 2:00pm.
