Leading 31-23 at the half, ASU Mid-South outscored the Lady Saints 23-15 in the third and held even in the fourth for their eighth victory in a row.
Cierra Penn led all scorers with 17 points while Meleanna Williams scored 14 and Kaylan Larry finished with 12 points. Aaliyah Lee chipped in 10 points to go with a game-high 8 rebounds.
ASU Mid-South used sharp-shooting from the arc, hitting 45.5% from long range, while holding Shawnee to just 40.9% from the field. The Lady Greyhounds also forced 26 turnovers while committing only 16 of their own.
The Lady Greyhounds (8-0) now begin NJCAA Region 2 play as they travel to El Dorado, Arkansas, to take on the South Arkansas Community College Lady Stars Thursday before returning to The Dog House to host UA Cossatot Saturday at 2:00pm. Both games are double-headers with the men playing after the women.
