Starting slow, ASU Mid-South led 13-8 after the first quarter, but give up just 7 points in the second frame to take a 29-15 lead at the half. But the Lady Greyhounds came out after halftime on a mission and outscored the Lady Colts 40-20 the rest of the way.
Aaliyah Lee led all scorers with 18 points on 9-11 shooting while Meleanna Williams scored 13 points as the two Lady Greyhounds combined for 12 rebounds. Kaylan Larry scored 10 points, Cierra Penn chipped in 9 points, but perhaps the most interesting stat of the night was that every person off the ASU Mid-South bench scored 4 points each.
The Lady Greyhounds (10-0, 2-0) shot 49.2% from the field while holding UA Cossatot (0-5, 0-2) to just 18.0% on the night. The Lady Greyhounds also took a 48-24 rebounding advantage and finished as a team with a defensive double-double collecting 11 steals and 10 blocked shots.
Next up for the Lady Greyhounds, currently ranked #8 in the nation, is a trip to St. Louis Community College on Monday before traveling to region-rival North Arkansas College in Harrison for a Saturday matchup that will feature two top 20 teams as the Lady Pioneers are currently ranked #18 in the latest national poll.
