Taking a 19-9 first quarter lead, ASU Mid-South saw the Lady Eagles cut the lead to 32-28 at the half. But shooting 70.6% from the free throw line for the game helped the Lady Greyhounds finish the job while never losing the lead.
Meleanna Williams led ASU Mid-South with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Aaliyah Lee finished with 12 points, Keiana Delaney finished with 8 points and 6 rebounds, Arrianna Faulks scored 7 points, and Jaylia Reed and Miranda Pham chipped in 6 points each.
The Lady Greyhounds (5-6) are currently ranked #11 in the NJCAA Division II National Poll due to their strength of schedule with all six losses coming to NJCAA Division I teams, three of whom have been in the NJCAA Division I National Rankings. They return to The Dog House Saturday at 2:00pm with a matchup against Itawamba Community College from Fulton, Mississippi, before hosting Dyersburg State Saturday, December 11.
