The 52-43 final score is a bit misleading as ASU Mid-South trailed by just 5 points late in the fourth period and were forced to foul to stop the clock and put the Lady Rockets at the free throw line where they went 8-of-11 in the last 45 seconds.
The Lady Greyhounds held SAU Tech to 35.6% shooting from the field and just 25.0% from the three-point line but managed to shoot only 27.7% from the field and 18.8% from the arc. ASU Mid-South won the rebounding battle, 46-39, but committed two more turnovers.
Jazzmen Robinson led the Lady Greyhounds with 15 points and 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. Aryah Hazley finished with 13 points and game-highs of 4 assists and 5 steals.
ASU Mid-South (11-6, 1-1) next travels to UA Cossatot Saturday for a 2:00pm tipoff which the men will follow at 4:00pm.
