ASU Mid-South managed to shoot just 7 second-half free throws to the Lady Colts' 28 free throws in the final frame. UA Cossatot held advantages in rebounds (42-37) and turnovers (20-27) while shooting 32.1% from the field, just under the Lady Greyhounds' 33.3%. But the Lady Colts managed to shoot 6-of-18 (33.3%) from the three-point line while ASU Mid-South hit just 1-of-17 (5.9%) from the arc.
Tied 27-27 at the half, UA Cossatot outscored the Lady Greyhounds 16-9 in the third quarter before hitting 14 of their 23 fourth-quarter points from the charity stripe.
Aryah Hazley led ASU Mid-South with 19 points and 8 rebounds while Kayla Griffin scored 11 points off the bench.
The Lady Greyhounds (14-9, 4-4) next travel to Shorter College (9-11) Thursday before returning to The Dog House Saturday to host North Arkansas College at 2pm followed by the men's game at 4pm. ASU Mid-South will hold a short ceremony to honor their sophomores between the women's and men's games on Saturday.
