The Lady Greyhounds jumped out to a big lead early and never let up to earn a 73-43 victory over the South Arkansas Community College Lady Stars Wednesday at The Dog House in West Memphis.

Leading 20-8 after the first period, ASU Mid-South scored another 20 points in the second quarter before limiting the Lady Stars to just 21 points in the second half. The Lady Greyhounds shot just 31.8% from the field and 25.0% from the three-point line but held South Arkansas to 28.6% shooting and 18.2% from the arc. ASU Mid-South also forced 27 turnovers and won the battle of the boards, 52-44.
Kya Washington led the Lady Greyhounds with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting and hitting 3-of-3 from the free throw line. Jazzmen Robinson registered her fifth double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds to go with a game-high 3 steals, and Kayla Griffin scored 12 points and pulled down 8 boards. Quintasia Leatherwood dished out a game-high 4 assists to go with 7 rebounds and 3 points.
The third-seeded Lady Greyhounds (17-10) advance to the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament semifinals and play the #2 seed North Arkansas College Lady Pioneers (16-9) Saturday in Harrison. In two previous meetings the Lady Greyhounds dropped a 60-58 decision on January 28 in Harrison and fell 79-69 February 18 in West Memphis.
