Lady Greyhounds Place Two on All-Region Teams
Freshman Aryah Hazley and sophomore Quintasia Leatherwood were named to the 2022-23 NJCAA Region 2 All-Region teams.
Freshman Aryah Hazley and sophomore Quintasia Leatherwood were named to the 2022-23 NJCAA Region 2 All-Region teams.
Hazley, a 5'6" guard from West Memphis, Arkansas, was named to the All-Region First Team after averaging 15.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.4 steals per game while shooting 36.9% from the field, 26.7% from the three-point line and 81.3% from the free throw line. She led the region in both free throws made and free throw percentage, and ranks 5th in the region in points per game and assists per game while finishing 6th in steals per game.
Leatherwood, a 5'4" guard from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was named to the All-Region Second Team after averaging 9.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 3.3 steals per game while shooting 36.6% from the field, 20.7% from the three-point line and 75.0% from the free throw line. She led the region in total assists and was second in total steals, and also ranked 7th in free throw percentage among players who shot at least two free throws per game.
