Down 31-23 at the half, ASU Mid-South came back with a big third period to trail only 45-44 entering the fourth quarter. But the Lady Pirates put up 27 points in the final period to take the victory.
The Lady Greyhounds shot just 20-of-71 (28.2%) from the field and 3-of-11 (27.3%) from the three-point line while connecting on 16-of-20 (80.0%) from the free throw line. But North Central Missouri connected on 20-of-48 (41.7%) from the field, 7-of-16 (43.8%) from the arc, and a blistering 25-of-29 (86.2%) from the charity stripe. The Lady Greyhounds did force 21 turnovers while committing only 7 and came down with 15 offensive rebounds, but it came down to fourth-quarter shooting with the Lady Pirates taking the advantage.
Quintasia Leatherwood led ASU Mid-South with 18 points to go with 7 rebounds, and Aryah Hazley scored 15 points with 5 rebounds and a team-high 3 assists. Kya Washington pulled down 10 rebounds to go with 7 points, and Timyja Threlkeld chipped in 7 points off the bench.
The Lady Greyhounds finish the season with a 19-11 overall record and the program's fourth NJCAA Region Tournament Championship after finishing third in region play.
