Turnovers Wound Greyhounds Early and Often

The Lady Rockets came out firing as they would connect on five 3 pointers in the first quarter. They were doing it on both sides of the ball as ASU Mid-South would turn the ball over 11 times in the first quarter with the Lady Rockets turning those turnovers into 14 points. The second quarter was much of the same for the Lady Greyhounds who just couldn't find their groove. SAU Tech held the Lady Greyhounds to just 13 points in the first half while the Lady Greyhounds shot just 33.3% from the field and committed 17 first half turnovers.
ASU Mid-South offense began to pick up in the third quarter, but the Lady Rockets were just too deep and able to rotate fresh bodies. At the end, SAU Tech just prooved to be too much for the lady Greyhounds.
Ayanna Rutledge was the only player for ASU Mid-South to score in double figures as she scored 16. Esther Kwagala had a game high 12 rebounds as this is her 4th consecutive game with double digit rebounds.
The Lady Greyhounds are back in action February 8th, as they host the Lady Colts of UA Cossatot in The Dog House. Tip-off is set for 5:30.
