ASU Mid-South used their size advantage to take a 84-60 victory over Bacone College JV Friday in the first game of the Pioneer Classic held in Harrison, Arkansas.
Tasmania Jones (19), Trent Steen (16) and Jerell Bernard (7) combined for 42 points as the Greyhounds took a 40-27 halftime advantage. The ASU Mid-South defense also came into play, forcing 22 turnovers and converting 51.5% from the field. Tyler Armstrong and Joe'Randle Toliver had 13 and 10 points, respectively, and the Greyhounds outrebounded the Warriors 47-28.
The Greyhounds take on MCC-Penn Valley Saturday as they continue a 7-game road trip before returning home to The Dog House on Saturday, December 5.
