Greyhounds Withstand Hot Hand, Fall at the End

In an incredible performance, the Eagles' Dakota Mitchell hit seven of their ten treys in the first half from all over the court to help Rhema to a 54-41 lead at the half. But the Greyhounds responded by holding Mitchell scoreless in the second half and came back to tie the score, but were kept at bay by the Eagles' timely shots down the stretch.
Down by two with the ball and less than 30 seconds remaining, ASU Mid-South worked the ball around only to see a potential game-winning three-pointer bounce off the rim. The Greyhounds were then forced to foul and Rhema sank two free throws for the final margin.
Trevor Banks finished with his first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Dee Montgomery led ASU Mid-South with 15 points, four assists and three steals while Terrandus Smith finished with 14 points and six rebounds.
The Greyhounds play their third game in five days on Monday at Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould, Arkansas, before closing out with a home game Friday against Champion Christian College in their last game of 2016.
