Ranked #19 in the preseason poll and coming off an 80-67 win over an NJCAA Division I program, the Greyhounds welcomed #15 Parkland College to The Dog House in an early season showdown.
The Greyhounds led most of the game but ended up falling to the visiting Cobras 79-74 in the final game of the Greyhound Tipoff Classic.
Taking a 41-34 lead at the half behind 15 points from sophomore Kamron Rose, the Greyhounds kept the lead most of the second half until a Parkland comeback stifled ASU Mid-South's offense inside of six minutes remaining in the game as the Greyhounds ended up with only 33 second-half points. To make matters worse, the Greyhounds shot a dismal 2-for-13 from the 3-point line and committed 18 turnovers to negate a 41-36 rebounding advantage.
Kamron Rose led the Greyhounds with his second consecutive double-double, registering 21 points and 11 rebounds while finished with 15 points and Jalen Lynn chipped in 11.
ASU Mid-South returns to The Dog House Monday at 6:00pm as they host Champion Christian College in a nonconference game.
