Brown averaged 10.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game and shot over 60% from the field and over 70% from the free throw line for the Colts on his way to All-Conference honors. He was also named to the All-Tournament team at the 34th Annual Kell Classic Basketball Tournament held at Swifton Gym of Jackson County School District. Brown was a four-year letterman at Rivercrest under Head Coach Hunter Robinson and grew nearly five inches between the start of his sophomore and junior year.
Rivercrest (24-8) is one of eight teams remaining in Arkansas whose season was put on hold by the current COVID-19 pandemic. After winning their last six games in a row to advance to the Arkansas Class 3A State Championship game, the Colts are scheduled to play conference-foe Osceola whom they have defeated three of four times this season, the last of which was a 59-54 victory in the Region 3 Championship Game to claim a top seed in the state tournament. At the time of this article, the Arkansas Activities Association has not determined if the game will be cancelled or played at a later date.
Brown is the second signee for the 2020-21 season for the Greyhounds and joins incoming freshman Torien Stewart from Memphis and six returners.
