Facing the #20-ranked team in the NJCAA National Poll, the Greyhounds took a six-point lead into halftime and carried that momentum throughout the second half for a 75-59 victory over Parkland College in the final game of the Greyhound Tip-Off Classic at The Dog House.

The Greyhounds once again shot poorly from the field at a 37.7% clip and just 21.4% from the three-point line, but held Parkland to 34.5% shooting and controlling the boards 57-43. Sam Smith finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds for his third double-double in three games while Christian Thompson collected his first career double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Jailen Anderson, O.J. Marrs, and Mekhai Washington finished with 9 points each while Anderson dished out 8 assists to go with 7 rebounds in his first career start.
The Greyhounds travel to Northeast Mississippi Community College Monday in a women's and men's doubleheader before returning to The Dog House Thursday to play Central Baptist College JV at 6:00pm.
