Limiting South Arkansas to just 30.1% shooting from the field and 30.0% from the three-point line, the Greyhounds took a 43-29 lead at the half before opening up the offense to put the game away early in the second half.
All 10 Greyhounds who played scored at least 5 points with Sam Smith and J.T. Smith leading the way with 14 points each. Sam Smith finished with his school-record eleventh double-double of the season, while Christian Thompson also finished with a double-double, scoring 13 points to go with 13 boards. Jailen Anderson finished with 12 points while Tim Johnson chipped in 11 points to go with a game-high 6 assists and 3 steals.
ASU Mid-South shot 53.8% from the field, committed only 11 turnovers, and dominated the boards 58-31.
The Greyhounds (11-9, 5-2) next travel Saturday to Hot Springs for a Region 2 matchup with National Park College (17-7, 3-3) before returning to The Dog House Tuesday to host nonregion foe Northwest Mississippi Community College (13-6) at 6:00pm.
