The Greyhounds held the Crowley's Ridge College JV Pioneers to just 15 points in the first half on the way to a dominating 110-57 victory Monday night at the Carter Activity Center in Paragould, Arkansas.
Leading 51-15 at halftime, the Greyhounds surrendered 9 three-pointers to the home team in the second half. But ASU Mid-South's 58.0% shooting from the field and 57-14 rebounding advantage were too much for the Pioneers to overcome.
Braxtyn McCuien led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Christian Thompson scored 16 points on 8-of-8 shooting, Jesse Washington and O.J. Marrs scored 14 points each with Washington and Kyrin Dock pulling down 7 rebounds and dishing out 8 assists each, and Jailen Anderson and T.J. Stewart finished with 13 points each as they combined to go 11-of-12 from the field.
The Greyhounds next host Southwest Tennessee Community College Wednesday at 7:30pm following the 5:30pm women's game, and travel to Park Hills, Missouri, Friday to compete in the Imo's Bob Sechrest Classic at Mineral Area College.
