For the second consecutive game, the Greyhounds held their opponent to just 15 first-half points on the way to an 81-63 home victory over the Southwest Tennessee Community College Salukis Wednesday at The Dog House.

ASU Mid-South forced the Salukis into 35.0% shooting from the field and 21.1% from the three-point line despite shooting a season-low 10.5% from the arc and a paltry 45.8% from the free throw line. Leading 38-15 at the half, the Greyhounds were never threatened in the second half as they shot 44.2% from the field while controlling the boards, 51-40, and giving up only 8 offensive rebounds while collecting 21.
Christian Thompson led the way with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting while Jailen Anderson scored 17 points shooting 8-of-13. Anderson also led the rebounding effort with 9 boards while Braxtyn McCuien and Je'marion Westbrook scored 8 points each and pulled down 8 and 7 rebounds, respectively. Kyrin Dock and Markese Bolden both scored 7 points and Dock and McCuien dished out a team-high 5 assists each.
The Greyhounds (6-1) now turn their attention to the Bob Sechrest Classic in Park Hills, Missouri, this Friday and Saturday as they take on the host team, Mineral Area College (5-2), Friday night before playing Three Rivers College (2-4) on Saturday. Both men's and women's teams return to The Dog House Monday, December 5, to host Crowley's Ridge College JV before home games with Dyersburg State Community College Saturday, December 10 and Jones College Tuesday, December 13.
