ASU Mid-South had shot under 40% from the field just once this season, shooting 37.2% in a 74-73 overtime win at Dyersburg State Community College November 9. But after not being able to practice for a full week since playing the previous Saturday due to the campus being closed for an ice storm that blew through the Mid-South, the Greyhounds shot just 27.0% from the field, and the Stars took advantage with 46.3% shooting. ASU Mid-South controlled the boards, 39-26 but turned the ball over 16 times to the Stars' 13.
Tied 26-26 at the half, the Stars led 36-32 with 12:30 left in the second half before going on a 16-0 run to lead 46-32 with 8:59 left to play, and ASU Mid-South just couldn't find the net to get closer the rest of the game.
Jesse Washington led the Greyhounds with 15 points while Markese Bolden came off the bench for 11 points, going 3-of-4 from the arc. Jailen Anderson finished with 6 points and team-highs of 6 rebounds and 6 assists, and no other Greyhound scored more than 4 points.
The Greyhounds (16-8, 4-2) next travel to Southern Arkansas University Tech (17-8, 4-2) Thursday before returning to The Dog House Saturday to host UA Cossatot (12-15, 0-6).
