Hendrix Resigns; New Search Underway for Softball Coach
Newly-hired softball coach Jimmy Hendrix has resigned his position at ASU Mid-South to take an assistant coaching position with new NJCAA program and fellow Region 2 member Southeast Arkansas College in Pine Bluff.
Newly-hired softball coach Jimmy Hendrix has resigned his position, effective immediately, at ASU Mid-South to take an assistant coaching position with new NJCAA program and fellow Region 2 member Southeast Arkansas College in Pine Bluff.
Hendrix was hired February 17 to start the Greyhound Softball program but is leaving less than two months later to join his wife, Belinda Hendrix, who was recently hired as the Head Softball Coach at Southeast Arkansas. Both programs are scheduled to begin play in the 2023-24 season and will compete in NJCAA Region 2.
A search for a new Head Coach will begin immediately with applications accepted until the position is filled. Resumes can be sent to Athletic Director, Chris Parker, at crparker@asumidsouth.edu, but a complete employment packet must be submitted to Human Resources to be considered for interviews.
A completed, current employment application form is required for every position at ASU Mid-South. Each section of the application must be completed, including salaries. Resumes may not be used to replace information requested on the application form. Applicants should also note that ASU Mid-South requires a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
