The Lady Bobcats outscored ASU Mid-South by 10 points in each of the first two quarters, then put the game away with a 25-7 third quarter. The Lady Greyhounds put up 82 shots in 40 minutes but connected on just 20.7% and only 22.2% from the three-point line while Jones shot 49.3% from the field, 39.1% from the arc and 80.0% from the free throw line. ASU Mid-South turned it over just 14 times while forcing 17 Lady Bobcat turnovers, but Jones dominated the boards 61-47 despite the Lady Greyhounds coming down with 24 offensive rebounds.
Quintasia Leatherwood was the only Lady Greyhound in double-figures with 14 points to go with 6 rebounds and a team-high 5 assists. Aryah Hazley finished with 8 points and a team-high 5 steals, and Kya Washington and Ashley Hopkins scored 7 points each. Moriah Robinson led ASU Mid-South on the boards with 9 rebounds while Jazzmen Robinson pulled down 8 boards to go with 6 points.
The Lady Greyhounds next play November 9 at Dyersburg State in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30pm with the men's game to follow.
