ASU Mid-South held the visitors to just 12 points in the final period and shot a perfect 20-of-20 from the free throw line to put away the pesky Lady Bulldogs. It is the first time a Lady Greyhound team has shot 100% from the free throw line in a game in program history and breaks the record of 86.2% (25-29) set against St. Louis Community College on November 8, 2019.
Shorter shot just 39.3% from the field and 3-of-19 (15.8%) from the three-point line while the Lady Greyhounds shot 37.9% from the field and 2-of-12 (16.7%) from the arc. The Lady Bulldogs won the battle of the boards, 41-37, but ASU Mid-South forced 24 turnovers while turning it over just 12 times.
Lakeycia Bables led the Lady Greyhounds with 15 points while Aryah Hazley scored 11 points to go with a game-high 4 steals. Jazzmen Robinson chipped in 10 points and pulled down a team-high 7 rebounds. Quintasia Leatherwood dished out a game-high 5 assists to go with 5 rebounds and 8 points.
The Lady Greyhounds (9-5) travel to Blue Mountain College in Mississippi Thursday to take on the Junior Varsity squad before returning to The Dog House Thursday, January 19, to host the Southern Arkansas University Tech Lady Rockets who are currently ranked #17 in the latest national rankings.
