The Lady Greyhounds just couldn't get the shots to fall as they dropped a 67-47 decision to Lewis & Clark Community College Monday at The Dog House.
Lewis & Clark started the game with the hot hand, jumping out to a 16-6 first quarter lead and taking a 30-16 lead into halftime. The Lady Greyhounds then found their stride, scoring 31 second half points, but the hole was too deep to emerge with the win.
The loss overshadowed a double-double by Lady Greyhound freshman Nariah Matthews as she scored a team-high 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Javia Wilson and Tatyana Burks both chipped in 9 points each, and Burks also led the team with 4 assists.
The Lady Greyhounds next travel to play in a classic at Jackson State Community College in Jackson, Tennessee, December 14-15.
