The Lady Greyhounds couldn't overcome poor shooting and losing the battle of the boards as they dropped an 88-68 decision at Northeast Mississippi Community College Monday in Booneville.
Shooting just 35.6% from the field and 20.0% from the three-point line and giving up a 50-34 rebounding advantage, ASU Mid-South also saw two Northeast Mississippi players combine for 55 points while the hosts also shot 48.4% from the field and a blistering 42.9% from the three-point line.
Meleanna Williams scored 18 points to lead the Lady Greyhounds while Jaylia Reed had 14 points and a team-high 8 rebounds. Arrianna Faulks finished with 12 points and Aaliyah Lee chipped in 11.
Next up for the Lady Greyhounds is the Lady Greyhound Classic in The Dog House as ASU Mid-South welcomes Mineral Area College, Northwest Mississippi Community College and National Park College for games Friday and Saturday. Friday's games are at 5:00pm and 7:00pm while Saturday's games tip-off at 12:00pm and 2:00pm with the Lady Greyhounds playing the late game both days.
