Leading 25-15 at the end of the first quarter, ASU Mid-South played about even in the second period to lead 40-28 at the half before breaking the game open in the third quarter by scoring 32 points. The Lady Greyhounds shot 50.0% from the field, 50.0% from the three-point line and 72.2% from the free throw line while holding the home team to 40.6% shooting from the field and controlling the boards, 41-35.
Jaylia Reed led the charge with 23 points and 6 assists, Aaliyah Lee recorded her second double-double in a row, and third of the season, with 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Meleanna Williams scored 18 points to go with 5 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Haven Cooper scored 9 points and Alindavia Lockett chipped in 8, and Keiana Delaney turned in a solid performance with 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
The Lady Greyhounds (12-8, 4-1) dropped to 15th in the latest national rankings and now begin the second round of region play, hosting SAU Tech Saturday at 2:00pm.
