The Lady Greyhounds used a decisive second quarter to race past the National Park College Lady Nighthawks 69-54 Saturday at The Kettle in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Trailing 12-10 after one quarter of play, ASU Mid-South outscored National Park College 21-8 in the second period to take a 31-20 lead they would never relinquish. The Lady Greyhounds shot 40.4% from the field and 80.0% from the free throw line while holding the host team to 35.2% shooting from the field and winning the battle of the boards 37-29.
Keiana Delaney led all ASU Mid-South scorers with 19 points while Meleanna Williams scored 14 and Aaliyah Lee chipped in 10 points to go with a game-high 7 rebounds. Jaylia Reed dished out a game-high 7 assists to go with 6 points, 6 rebounds, and a team-high 4 steals.
The Lady Greyhounds (16-8, 7-1) are currently ranked #14 in the nation and next travel to Harrison, Arkansas, to take on the #9 ranked North Arkansas Lady Pioneers (19-3, 8-0) before returning to The Dog House for their final regular season game Saturday against UA Cossatot at 2:00pm.
