The 6'4", 175-pound scorer helped lead the Class 2A Hornets to a 26-5 record and a Region Tournament appearance as a senior after helping Mineral Springs to the state tournament and an upset of #1-ranked Clarendon as a junior. The three-year letterman averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds as a senior while shooting over 50% from the field and 70% from the free throw line.
Davis, who has gone by the nickname "Beebop" since childhood, was named both All-Conference and All-State as both a junior and senior as well as taking All-State tournament honors his junior season. He was also recently named to the Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star game which will take place June 23 at the Ferris Center on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.
"Beebop is an athlete who has the ability to just go score when you really need it," said Greyhound head coach Chris Parker. "He has an explosive first step, a nice jump shot, can post against smaller players and is very smooth going to the basket. But the thing that really stands out to me is that he is a high-character young man," Parker said. "It is obvious he has an impact on people, and he is a great fit for our program and our community."
"He's just a really good person," added Mineral Springs coach John Martin. "He's the type of kid every coach wants in his program and will be a great fit at ASU Mid-South."
