Leading 34-25 at the half, the Greyhounds had to fight off a second-half Bear rally to move to 10-4 on the season.
Dee Montgomery led ASU Mid-South with 19 points, Terrandus Smith scored 17, K.J. Patrick finished with 14, and Kam Rose came off the bench to chip in 11 points while pulling down seven rebounds. Montee Randle led the visitors with 10 rebounds to go with five points as the Greyhounds held a 46-32 rebounding advantage while holding the hosts to 32.3% shooting for the game.
The Greyhounds return to The Dog House Monday as they play their third game in four days against Bethel University JV at 6:00pm.
