Leading 39-35 at the half, ASU Mid-South turned up the defensive intensity in the second half to take control of the game by forcing 27 turnovers and taking a 43-35 rebounding edge. The Greyhounds also helped themselves by shooting 36.8% from the three-point line and an outstanding 17-of-20 (85.0%) from the free throw line.
Dee Montgomery and Terrandus Smith led the hosts with 16 points each while Terrikous Smith scored 13 and K.J. Patrick finished with 12 points and six rebounds.
The Greyhounds are back on the road Thursday in Fulton, Mississippi, as they play their fourth game in seven days at Itawamba Community College.
