Montgomery Named to All-American Team, National All-Star Team

Leading ASU Mid-South to unprecedented heights, Dee Montgomery has been named to the NJCAA Division II All-American Basketball Team for his efforts this season and was also chosen to play in the NJCAA Men's Basketball All-Star Game May 19 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The NJCAA All-American Team is composed of 30 players listed on three teams of 10 players each, with Montgomery listed as a Second Team selection while averaging 15.2 points, 4.0 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game this season. The 5'11" guard also shot 43.4% from the field, 36.5% from the three-point line and nearly 70% from the free throw line while posting high games of 31 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
The NJCAA Coaches Association All-Star Game features two teams of top players nationally as the NJCAA Division I team will play against the NJCAA Division II team as part of the Nike Championship Basketball Clinic.
The Greyhounds finished 29-6 and won their second consecutive Region 2 Championship on the way to their first-ever District XIII title and NJCAA National Tournament where they finished in 5th Place.
Montgomery is the first ASU Mid-South student-athlete in school history to receive All-American honors and the first to be chosen to play in the NJCAA National All-Star Game.
